Touché

I’ve always had an interest in photography, both digital and film. Fifteen-year-old me fell in love with portrait photography, and it has been a part of my creative process ever since. Touche is the perfect combination of my passion for photography and design. Each issue is a collection of images, articles, music, art, all revolving around a specific theme. Creating and sourcing content for the zine has been a great exercise and has cured many creative blocks. It’s a fun way to refine my skills and push myself to think outside the box. This project is dear to my heart, and I hope to make many more issues soon!

This issue is one of my favourites to date. “Sweet banalities” was an ode to boredom and the ordinary. Those fine hours where we find bliss in the simple pleasures of life. It can be the warm afternoon sun peeking through your window or listening to your favourite album on the train ride home. All the images taken were of a good friend at my old house. They are meant to have that warm feeling, that gritty texture. I shot, edited and designed the whole issue from scratch, using Indesign, Illustrator and Lightroom.
